About Me

Oh hi, fancy seeing you here!

Allow me to introduce myself…

My name is Kellie Hoffmann and I am the artist and voice of K H Artworks.

I was born in Jamestown but spent the majority of my upbringing in the small country town of Loxton, South Australia. For as long as I can remember I have always loved making art, starting off with a more crafty approach, from plasticine models to cutting up old greeting cards to create new ones.  Throughout my schooling years I developed a keen interest in drawing, refining my skills towards realism, however, it was only after completing high school that I discovered my love for painting and this passion has guided my practice ever since.

I completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts in early 2018 at the University of South Australia which included a semester abroad at the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary, Canada.  Throughout my studies I played with multiple styles of painting, but found that I was always drawn back to realism.  I’ve come to realise that it’s the finest details that draw me in most, in both painting and life in general.

Since a child I have always been a huge animal lover and the majority of my commissioned works are for pet portraits.  My love for animals is also reflected in my personal works as well, and recently I have been moving towards addressing environmental issues and the impacts on the wildlife.

Stay up to date with my progress on collections and work in general by following my blog!

What Can I Do

Specialising in painting, I work primarily with oils. However, I often experiment with a wide range of mediums including but not limited to; inks and watercolours, pastel pencil, pen illustrations, engravings on glass, wood and metal, to name a few.
